Final Offer Submitted by EQT for Keywords Studios Acquisition
Finance firm EQT has officially submitted its final offer to acquire Keywords Studios, a leading services and software giant. The proposed deal is valued at £2.1 billion (.7 billion), slightly lower than EQT’s previous bid of £2.2 billion made in May.
Despite the slight decrease in the offer amount, the directors at Keywords Studios have once again recommended that shareholders approve the acquisition. CEO Bertrand Bodson expressed his pride in the company’s teams and technology platform, highlighting their track record of delivering strong financial performance and creating value for shareholders.
In a statement, Bodson shared his excitement about the potential partnership with EQT, emphasizing their shared vision for growth and innovation in the entertainment industry. He believes that joining forces with EQT will strengthen Keywords Studios’ position as a global leader in games services and open up new opportunities for expansion.
EQT Asia chair Jean Salata also expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, citing Keywords Studios as an exciting player in the evolving video gaming technology services market. He highlighted the importance of continued investment in innovation, international expansion, and talent to drive long-term growth in the industry.
Under EQT’s ownership, Keywords Studios is expected to benefit from strategic investments in technology, talent, and M&A activities to support its growth strategy and position as a key player in the global entertainment landscape.
