Game of Thrones: Dragonfire Mobile Strategy Game Launched

Warner Bros. Games and HBO have teamed up to release Game of Thrones: Dragonfire, a free-to-play mobile strategy game inspired by the drama series, House of the Dragon. Developed by Warner Bros. Games Boston, players can now embark on their journey as a dragonrider aiming to conquer Westeros during the Targaryen Civil War through tactical, tile-based warfare.

At launch, the game features 28 unique dragons, including iconic ones like Caraxes and Syrax, as well as original creatures designed specifically for the game. Each dragon comes with its own set of skills, abilities, affinities, and synergies, allowing players to strategize and play in various styles.

Players have the opportunity to lead up to five dragon-led armies simultaneously, engaging in battles, strategic maneuvers, and defensive tactics across a tiled map reminiscent of the Dance of Dragons. Additionally, fans can interact with their dragons through a Dragon Strike minigame, where they can fly their dragons, avoid obstacles, and unleash fire on enemies.

Strategic control of the map is crucial as players form alliances, coordinate attacks, and vie for control over iconic locations and castles in Westeros. Each tile offers unique benefits, from resources for upgrades to geographical advantages that facilitate faster reinforcements.

Game of Thrones: Dragonfire aims to immerse players in an original story set during the Targaryen succession, drawing inspiration from House of the Dragon. Through scenario-driven Campaigns, players will encounter familiar characters, locations, and power struggles from the series, while shaping the fate of the realm.

The game’s narrative evolves based on player choices and performance, featuring branching storylines and reactive Campaign stages that change with each seasonal Reign, offering new outcomes, rewards, and story developments.
