Marie Android: A Unique 3D Action-Adventure Title
Japanese indie developer Jinbey Aoyama recently unveiled the Steam store page for their upcoming 3D action-adventure game, Marie Android, on June 20. After five years in development, the game is set to hit the market sometime this summer.
Marie Android revolves around the main character, a small robot with the appearance of a young girl, who possesses extraordinary powers. These powers allow Marie to transform into a muscular form, flatten herself, and even morph into a tank. With the assistance of her friends, Marie embarks on a quest to save Akacha Town.
The gameplay of Marie Android involves solving puzzles and engaging in combat as players explore the town and its surrounding dungeons. Players will encounter challenges that require them to utilize Marie’s unique abilities, such as flattening herself to access hidden areas or bulking up to break through obstacles like locked gates and formidable enemies. Each section of the map presents its own set of mechanics that players must master to progress.
Interestingly, Jinbey Aoyama, the game’s developer, has been active as a VTuber since 2018 under the name Marie Android. Despite only starting to promote the game on social media in July 2021, Aoyama made a comeback on June 7, 2026, with an announcement regarding the game’s release window. While Aoyama is primarily working on all aspects of the game solo, virtual singer Pochi Korone, with whom the Marie Android VTuber has collaborated in the past, has lent her voice talents to the project.
