Xbox Announces Fable, Gears of War: E-Day, Metro 2039, Minecraft Dungeons 2 and More for Gamescom

Xbox’s Exciting Return to Gamescom

Xbox is set to make a grand return to Gamescom from August 26th to 30th, bringing with it an impressive lineup of playable games at its booth. This year, gamers can look forward to exploring a diverse selection of 25 titles, including Stranger Than Heaven, Alien: Isolation 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and Metro 2039.

Among the highlights, players will have the opportunity to engage with the multiplayer mode of Modern Warfare 4, coinciding perfectly with the launch of its beta next month. While Fable won’t be available for hands-on play, Playground Games will take the stage to deliver a live presentation that showcases the game’s combat mechanics.

In a notable first, attendees will be able to experience the campaign of Gears of War: E-Day ahead of its official launch. Other exciting titles on display include Alien Deathstorm, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Turok Origins, and Valor Mortis.

Additionally, fans of recently released games will find Halo: Campaign Evolved on the roster, alongside a chance to try out the upcoming Drift Attack mode in Forza Horizon 6. Attendees can also expect a “sneak peek” at future collaborations.

To enhance the experience, live broadcasts are scheduled for 7 AM PST on both August 26th and 27th, featuring interviews, special guests, gameplay reveals, new trailers, and much more. While Xbox has yet to provide a comprehensive outline of what to expect, anticipation continues to build as the event approaches.

Moreover, the excitement begins even earlier with Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25th, showcasing anticipated titles such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past and Silent Hill: Townfall.
