Wildberries has quietly introduced its own messaging platform, WB Chat, now accessible to the public. Without a formal announcement, users can already download the app from both the App Store and Google Play, utilizing their WB ID for login.
Features and Functionality
The app presents a user-friendly interface, organizing chats into distinct tabs: “All,” “Chats,” “Groups,” and “Channels.” Users have the flexibility to create groups or channels directly from a blank screen, enhancing the customization experience.
Within the user profile, individuals can set an avatar, select a name, establish a status, and choose a username. Additionally, the app features a dedicated section for “Favorites” and allows users to categorize their chat folders for easier navigation.
Navigation is streamlined through a floating panel comprising three icons: profile, chats, and settings. WB Chat supports various functions, including:
- Photo and video sharing
- Message forwarding
- Replying to messages
- Setting statuses
- Transcribing voice messages
The app is published on Google Play under WB FZE, with an address in the Hamriyah Free Zone located in the Emirate of Sharjah, UAE. Currently, WB Chat is in beta testing, which means users may encounter some errors as the platform is refined.
In addition to being available on the App Store and Google Play, WB Chat can also be found on RuStore, and a web version is in the works. Wildberries CEO Tatyana Kim has previously indicated plans to expand the messenger’s reach beyond Russia into international markets following its initial launch.
