Investigation Unfolds Following App-Triggered Alert
In a significant development in Henderson County, Texas, authorities have taken decisive action following a tip-off from a messaging application regarding the potential sharing of child pornography. The investigation led to the arrest of 22-year-old Matthew Hunter Rivers from Athens.
According to the affidavit filed by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, the alert prompted investigators to delve deeper into the matter. Their efforts culminated in the execution of a search warrant, which revealed the presence of illicit material on Rivers’ mobile device.
As a result of these findings, Rivers has been charged with possession of child pornography. He was apprehended on September 30 and subsequently booked into the Henderson County Jail, where he is currently being held on a bond set at 0,000.
