AhnLab’s V3 security software has recently made headlines by achieving a perfect score in a renowned global security assessment. On October 1, the company announced that two of its flagship products attained an impressive 18 points in AV-TEST’s evaluation conducted for July-August 2026, specifically targeting antivirus software for the Windows operating system.
Evaluation Criteria and Achievements
AV-TEST is recognized for its rigorous evaluation of security products across major operating systems, including Windows and Android. The assessment meticulously examines several critical factors:
- Protection: The ability to fend off malware threats.
- Performance: The impact on system efficiency and speed.
- Usability: The overall user experience and ease of use.
Each category is scored out of a maximum of 6 points, culminating in an overall score of 18 points. The products that achieved this remarkable feat were the enterprise-oriented V3 Endpoint Security and the consumer-focused V3 Internet Security.
AhnLab has been a participant in AV-TEST’s Windows antivirus evaluations since 2013, consistently showcasing its commitment to quality and security. Notably, it competes alongside other global security giants such as Microsoft, Kaspersky, and Bitdefender.
Yang Ha-young, head of AhnLab’s ASEC division, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “It is significant that both the enterprise and consumer V3 products achieved the highest scores.” This recognition not only underscores AhnLab’s dedication to cybersecurity but also reinforces its position in a competitive market.
