Circana, the research group formerly known as NPD, has published its latest monthly US sales report, revealing which games have sold the best during the year so far. After May’s data is accounted for, there is literally no change in the top five and very little change anywhere in the top 20 overall best-sellers of 2024. Sony’s Helldivers II remains 2024’s best-selling game overall in the US, with Modern Warfare III, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and MLB The Show 24 making up the top five. After another month of sales in May, that ranking remains the same.
For May specifically, Sony’s Ghost of Tsushima surged up the charts to become the No. 1 best-selling game of the month. This was due to its release on PC, which bolstered sales.
The reporting period covers December 30, 2023 through June 1, 2024.
