Age of Empires Mobile Set for Release on iOS and Android
Age of Empires Mobile, the highly anticipated mobile version of the beloved real-time strategy game, is scheduled to launch on iOS and Android devices on 17 October. Developed by Timi Games, a subsidiary of Tencent, in collaboration with Xbox Games Studios, the game is currently available for pre-registration on both Google and Apple app stores.
The game is expected to offer a variety of single-player modes, allowing players to construct their own empires within a medieval backdrop. Known for its use of real historical figures and locations, players will have the opportunity to form alliances and select from various civilizations such as the French, Byzantines, Romans, and Chinese.
The Age of Empires series, which made its debut in 1997 for Windows, consists of nine games, with the most recent installment being Age of Empires 4 released in 2021. The launch of the mobile version comes at a time when developers are increasingly focusing on mobile platforms to reach a broader audience.
