Ayaneo Launches Orders for Konkr Pocket Block
Ayaneo has officially opened orders for the highly anticipated Konkr Pocket Block, the latest offering from its budget Konkr sub-brand. This vertical Android handheld was first showcased back in May, and now customers can finally get their hands on it.
The Konkr Pocket Block comes in two variants – a 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage model priced at , and a 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage model priced at 9. For those who act fast, there is an early bird pricing promotion that knocks off both models, bringing the prices down to and respectively. This special offer is only available for a limited time.
According to Ayaneo, shipping for the Konkr Pocket Block is set to begin at the end of October. The handheld features a 3.33-inch 4:3 LCD display with a resolution of 960 x 720, powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chip. It also includes a microSD slot for expandable storage and a 3,500 mAh battery for long-lasting usage.
Running on Android 12, the Konkr Pocket Block is designed without a fan, utilizing a heat spreader instead. The 2 GB model is available in gray, while the 3 GB version offers additional color options such as Cube Purple and a translucent Atoms White.
Given that the Helio G85 chip is considered a budget processor, the Konkr Pocket Block may be best suited for emulating older gaming systems up to the PS1 and PSP era. However, playing more demanding games from the PS2 and GameCube era might pose a challenge.
Although Ayaneo initially touted the Pocket Block as the world’s first AI handheld, details on the AI features have yet to be revealed. In addition to the Pocket Block, the company has also introduced the Game Boy Advance-inspired Konkr Pocket Advance.
With pricing that seems reasonable, potential buyers are encouraged to wait for reviews before making a purchase decision. The Konkr Pocket Block promises to offer a unique gaming experience at an affordable price point.
