Supercell Confirms Cosmic Curse Skins Causing Crashes
Update 06/10/25 – 4:50 pm (IST): Supercell has confirmed that the crashing was due to the Cosmic Curse skins. They’ve disabled the skins as a temporary measure until the root cause is fixed.
Clash of Clans players were left frustrated after experiencing major crashes following a maintenance update. The game force-closed when attempting to access basic features like profiles, achievements, and hero halls.
Issues arose immediately after Supercell announced the update was ready for players’ revenge, leading to a wave of complaints from users facing gameplay disruptions.
Players on various platforms, including X and Reddit, reported identical problems across different devices. Users like @DemirelAu and @Geraintllew on X confirmed crashes when clicking profiles or opening equipment, while @ThiloBic noted the issue affecting iPhone 17 Pro users on iOS 26. The crashes extended beyond profiles, hindering players from claiming achievements, accessing hero halls, or viewing top player rankings without the app abruptly shutting down.
One thread garnered numerous players confirming the same issues, with some finding that accessing profiles through the builder base offered a temporary workaround. An OP even shared a video recording to highlight the problem.
