Exploring the World of Cyber Paranoia

Fans of otome games have a new title to keep an eye on – Cyber Paranoia. This psychological medical romance adventure is set in a psychiatric treatment facility, where players take on the role of a patient diagnosed with a unique mental contagion. Alongside a beautiful, pink-haired android, players engage in over 40 “treatment sessions” that involve various tasks, from patting the android’s head to “punishing” him.

During these sessions, players must monitor different values for both their character and the android, such as Mental Energy, Stamina, Treatment Efficiency, Joy Level, Suffering Level, and Treatment Score. These values change based on the actions performed during the sessions.

Outside of the treatment sessions, players also manage their daily routine, submitting progress reports, taking breaks, engaging in romantic encounters with the android, and upgrading him. The upgrades can be tailored to personal preferences, affecting the android’s Humanity, Infatuation, and Obedience.

These decisions not only impact the endings players will experience but also shape the android’s personality and the overall direction of the story. Players can choose between wholesome or dark routes, with warnings from the developer about graphic content including violence, psychological abuse, medical procedures, and adult themes.

Cyber Paranoia offers over 30 endings and takes approximately 10 hours to complete. It is designed for fans of psychological science fiction thrillers, android romance, and yandere characters. The game boasts over 300,000 words of story content and a unique hand-drawn art style, with the option to choose from six different outfits for the android.

Developed and published by a solo indie developer, Cyber Paranoia is currently in development for Windows (Steam), with a free demo available for players to try out.
