DLsite parent company’s new cloud engine-based service for playing PC titles via mobile launches on August 26

viviON, the parent company behind the Japanese digital game, doujinshi, and ASMR platform DLsite, is set to unveil its innovative cloud gaming service, viviON Games, on August 26. Initially introduced in May, this service empowers users to enjoy PC games directly on their smartphones through the advanced OOParts cloud gaming engine.

Seamless Gaming Experience

By leveraging OOParts, viviON Games enables players to launch PC games straight from their phone’s browser, utilizing dedicated servers. This approach eliminates the need for downloads and complex setups, allowing gamers to dive into their chosen titles with remarkable ease.

The inception of viviON Games aims to enhance accessibility for both players and developers. For gamers with busy schedules, this service offers the flexibility to engage in their favorite PC games anytime and anywhere. Developers benefit as well, as they are relieved from the burden of porting their games to the platform; viviON Games is designed with PC gaming at its core. Notably, the service will adopt a one-time purchase model rather than a subscription-based system.

In anticipation of the launch, viviON Games is actively updating its X account, revealing one launch title each day leading up to the official release. The first game showcased, announced on August 20, is Daidai’s 2024 adventure horror title, The Aquarium Does Not Dance. This intriguing game invites players to navigate a mysterious aquarium while searching for a missing friend amidst an unsettling atmosphere.

A demo of the service, presented at this year’s BitSummit PUNCH, featured a variety of titles, including Yomawari: Lost in the Dark, Seifuku Kanojo, KemonoMix Re, One Way Heroics Plus, Terminus Historia, Return to Shironagasu Island, and The Clingy Ghost. However, it remains to be seen which of these titles will be part of the final launch lineup.

As the countdown to August 26 continues, enthusiasts can stay informed about the latest developments and game offerings by following the official X account of viviON Games.
