Netmarble has officially unveiled its latest action-adventure RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, now available on both mobile and PC platforms. This title, licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of HBO, is set to captivate audiences across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East, with plans for an Asian launch to be announced later this year. A launch trailer has been released today, offering a glimpse into the immersive world players can expect.
Embarking on a New Journey
In Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, players will step into the shoes of a new character destined to inherit House Tyre, a lesser-known noble house from the North. This fresh narrative invites players to explore a brand-new storyline while engaging with the rich lore of the series.
Players can choose from three distinct classes—Knight, Sellsword, or Assassin—each inspired by iconic roles from the original series. The game promises to deliver intricate combat mechanics and skills tailored to each class, allowing for a personalized and strategic gameplay experience that resonates with individual play styles.
Drawing from George R. R. Martin’s acclaimed A Song of Ice and Fire novels, players will encounter legendary creatures, including the beloved Drogon as a formidable Field Boss. Other mythical beings, such as Ice Spiders, Stormhorn Unicorns, Ironbeak Griffins, and Red Cockatrice, will also make their debut in this engaging and original format.
Exploring the Vast World of Westeros
The game meticulously recreates the continent of Westeros, showcasing both familiar and unexplored locations with stunning detail. Players will have the opportunity to traverse the seven kingdoms, uncovering vibrant landscapes, bustling cities, quaint villages, and the rugged wilderness that defines the realm.
Iconic regions await exploration, including:
- King’s Landing – the bustling capital of Westeros
- Castle Black – a stronghold at the Wall
- Highgarden – known for its temperate climate
- The Wall – an imposing icy barrier along the northern border
As players navigate these storied lands, they will encounter familiar faces from the series, such as Jaime Lannister, Lord Varys, Queen Mother Cersei, Stannis Baratheon, and Olenna Tyrell, enhancing the immersive experience of their journey through Westeros.
New Adventures Await
Building on the excitement of early access, which launched on Steam in late March, players can now delve beyond the initial chapters to discover a wealth of new content. With the introduction of Chapter 3, players will explore rich new regions like Storm’s End and Felwood, face intense new battles, and confront a new boss Unicorn in the Altar of Memories update, all available from today.
