Google Play Games is coming to even more Windows devices — and with new PC games, too

In a recent announcement, Google has revealed its plans to broaden the reach of the Google Play Games app, now extending compatibility to a wider array of PC devices, including those powered by AMD. This move marks a significant step in making the full catalog of Google Play Games accessible to more users, particularly those who have previously faced limitations due to hardware constraints.

According to a post on The Keyword, Google stated:

“The full Google Play Games on PC catalog will now also be available on more devices, including AMD laptops and desktops.”

This expansion is poised to enhance the gaming experience for AMD users, who may have felt sidelined by earlier compatibility issues. With this update, it’s an opportune moment for those on AMD devices to revisit the app and explore the newly available options.

More games are getting ported to Android

For mobile gaming enthusiasts, the excitement continues as several popular PC titles are making their way to Android. Starting this month, players can look forward to engaging with beloved games such as “DREDGE” and “TABS Mobile” on their mobile devices. Google has optimized these titles for mobile play, ensuring a seamless gaming experience on the go.

Moreover, the anticipation builds for later this year when even more PC games, including the critically acclaimed “Disco Elysium,” will be available on Android. Players will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a rich narrative as they navigate the life of a detective.

In a bid to further enhance the gaming landscape, Google is also providing developers with access to the Vulkan API and the Android Dynamic Performance Framework (ADPF). These tools are expected to empower both new and existing games to leverage advanced graphical capabilities, resulting in visually stunning experiences.

As the lines between PC and mobile gaming continue to blur, gamers can look forward to a more integrated and versatile gaming environment, making it easier than ever to enjoy their favorite titles across different platforms.
