Destroy a Comet and deliver a Comet Igniter to Tian Wen
Comets can be found across various maps, but the new Riven Tides map is particularly rich in these foes, especially along the beach. Visually, Comets resemble larger versions of Fireballs or Pops, akin to a Surveyor—essentially a sizable metal sphere featuring a blue light that shifts to yellow upon detecting a player.
When a Comet targets you, it will roll in your direction before detonating. To successfully obtain a Comet Igniter, it’s crucial to eliminate the Comet before it explodes. Doing so will trigger the appearance of a distinct loot container, which resembles a core rather than the standard ring. Inside this container, you’ll find the coveted Comet Igniter.
The most efficient and cost-effective method to dispatch a Comet before it detonates involves the use of Seeker Grenades and Snap Blasts. A handful of these grenades will suffice, and they can be conveniently purchased from Apollo on a daily basis. The Seekers are particularly advantageous as they home in on enemies. As long as the Comet remains unaware of your presence, you’ll have ample opportunity to continue launching grenades until it’s defeated. Once the Comet is down, simply loot the container, secure the Igniter in a safe spot, and return it to Tian Wen to complete your objective.
