Iconic Lovecraftian Board Game Eldritch Horror Is Coming to PC

Iconic Lovecraftian tabletop horror game Eldritch Horror is set to make its digital debut on PC in 2026, promising to deliver a faithful adaptation of the acclaimed globe-spanning mystery and adventure. This announcement came during a recent Arkham Horror-focused livestream, where it was revealed that the game will be available on Steam in the first quarter of the year. The development is being spearheaded by Cornerstone Software, marking the studio’s inaugural project.

Bringing the Tabletop Experience to Digital Life

The aptly named Eldritch Horror: Digital Edition aims to encapsulate the scares and strategic decision-making that fans have come to love in the original tabletop game. Players can expect to encounter much of the same gameplay and atmospheric tension that defines the board game experience.

Legendary tabletop strategy game Eldritch Horror is coming to PC next year.

In this digital adaptation, players will have the opportunity to choose from eight fully voiced characters and face off against four distinct Ancient Ones. The game promises to feature countless monsters and hundreds of encounters, all deeply rooted in the rich lore of the original Eldritch Horror.

Unlike its tabletop counterpart, the PC version will not require players to rely on YouTube ambience compilations for an immersive sound experience. Eldritch Horror: Digital Edition will include a haunting original soundtrack and new artwork that captures the game’s noir-inspired, 1920s supernatural aesthetic.

Streamlined Gameplay for a Modern Audience

Cornerstone is committed to translating Fantasy Flight’s strategic party-based co-op gameplay into a digital format, incorporating elements of resource management, storytelling, and roguelite mechanics. To enhance the user experience, the adaptation will simplify much of the number-crunching and bookkeeping traditionally associated with the tabletop version, allowing players to dive straight into the thrilling action.

Eldritch Horror will feature eight fully-voiced playable characters.

Players can anticipate the launch of Eldritch Horror on PC via Steam early next year, with a price point set at .99 or the equivalent in local currency. Enthusiasts are hopeful that this release may pave the way for a digital adaptation of the creator’s next game as well.
