In a delightful fusion of relaxation and gaming, Lush has unveiled its new Minecraft collection, offering bath enthusiasts a whimsical escape. This innovative line features an array of bath bombs and shower jellies, each inspired by iconic in-game items and creatures, including the Creeper Shower Bomb, Diamond Pickaxe Bubble Bar, and the enchanting Ender Dragon Egg, all crafted in a charming voxel style.
Experiencing the Collection
Having had the pleasure of testing several products from this collection over the past week, I can confidently say they are a splendid addition to any evening routine. After a long day, there’s something uniquely satisfying about unwinding with a fizzing bath bomb, candles aglow, and the world outside fading away.
My journey began with the TNT Block Bath Bomb, which piqued my curiosity. Contrary to its explosive appearance, it transformed my bath into a mesmerizing shade of blood-orange, evoking a slightly gothic ambiance. As it fizzed and crackled, a floral aroma filled the air, a blend of jasmine, ylang ylang, and clary sage that, while not overly complex, was undeniably pleasant.
The rapid dissolution of the bomb was particularly impressive, creating a ballet of colors that danced across the water’s surface.
Next, I ventured into the realm of the Ender Dragon Egg. This substantial bath bomb delivered an explosion of color and fragrance, though its deep black-purple hue added an element of drama to the experience. The initial scent—a harmonious blend of rose and lemon—was refreshing, and as it dissolved, it produced a captivating froth of purple-black-green that shimmered enticingly in the light. While it may appear murky in photographs, the final result was a swirling, inviting dark purple glitter.
One of the most delightful surprises was the mini dragon hidden within the bath bomb. As it dissolved, pieces revealed a soap bar shaped like a tiny Minecraft Ender Dragon, reminiscent of discovering a toy in a Kinder Surprise. This added an element of fun to the bathing experience.
The soap itself is reusable, promising 2-3 washes. Despite its initial black appearance on the skin, it rinses away easily, leaving a pleasant scent and a smooth finish, akin to polished stone.
However, a minor drawback emerged: the Ender Dragon Egg’s size meant it infused the water with a deep purple hue, resulting in a rather dramatic post-bath clean-up. While this is typical for darker bath bombs, it’s a detail worth considering for those seeking a truly tranquil experience.
In contrast, the lighter-hued Axolotl Egg and Diamond Ore Block Bath Bombs offered a more carefree experience. The vibrant pinks of the Axolotl Egg were particularly eye-catching, and each bath bomb includes a surprise Axolotl soap, adding an element of excitement as you await your unique color—mine turned out to be a cheerful yellow.
Lush has truly tapped into a winning concept with this collection. Each bath bomb is thoughtfully designed and scented, while the hidden soaps introduce an element of surprise that is sure to delight. This collection is likely to resonate with younger fans of the game, yet it also provides adults with a charming blend of nostalgia and relaxation.
For those seeking a well-deserved break, the Lush x Minecraft collection offers an opportunity to indulge in both gaming nostalgia and soothing self-care.
The collection is currently available for purchase both in-store and online.
