Minecraft Next Game Update Includes Adorable Baby Animal Updates

The team at Minecraft has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming game drop, which promises to charm players with delightful updates to beloved baby farm animals. Previously, these baby mobs were merely scaled-down versions of their adult counterparts. However, this latest update breathes new life into them, giving each baby mob its own distinct look and personality.

New Sounds and Unique Designs

Among the most notable enhancements are the newly designed models for a variety of baby farm mobs. Players can now enjoy the unique sounds of piglets, wolf pups, and kittens, each with their own adorable oinks, yaps, and meows. The updated baby mobs include:

  • Wolf pup
  • Kitten
  • Baby Chicken
  • Rabbit
  • Piglet
  • Lamb
  • Calf
  • Baby Ocelot

These new models stand out significantly, particularly due to their distinctive eyes. As Agnes Larsson, Game Director, explains, “Typically mobs in Minecraft have two-pixel eyes, but now baby mobs have just one, creating a new vibe that is simply adorable.”

In addition to the visual updates, players will have the ability to craft name tags for their new companions using paper and any metal nugget. This feature enhances the personalization aspect of the game, allowing players to forge deeper connections with their virtual pets.

Furthermore, in a nod to the Java Edition, players can now use spawn eggs on adult mobs to create baby versions in the Bedrock Edition as well. For instance, to spawn a kitten, players simply need to apply a cat spawn egg to an adult cat.

Early Access to the Update

For those eager to explore these new features ahead of the official release, players can enable snapshots for Minecraft: Java Edition or opt for previews/beta for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. To install a snapshot, players should open the Minecraft Launcher and activate snapshots in the “Installations” tab. It’s important to note that features may evolve before the final release.

Players who prefer to wait for the polished version can anticipate these updates in the next Minecraft game drop. While an official release date has yet to be confirmed, last year’s major update arrived in March, suggesting that a similar timeline may be in store for this year.

Minecraft is currently available on PC and consoles, inviting players to immerse themselves in its ever-evolving world.
