My prayers have been answered: Battlefield 6 Engineers can now spawn with 5 rockets, meaning you can send tanks straight to the scrap yard

Life as an Engineer in Battlefield 6 can be a challenging endeavor, particularly when tasked with defense. The relentless effort of combating a swarm of tanks, often accompanied by a squad of fellow Engineers, can evoke a sense of futility reminiscent of Sisyphus and his eternal boulder. At least Sisyphus is spared the indignity of being sniped from afar while perched at the pinnacle of his struggle.

Yet, amidst the chaos, there are moments of reprieve. Recently, I experienced one such moment during a Rush match, where I discovered that my Anti-Armour field spec perk now granted me an impressive five RPG rockets upon spawning. Yes, you read that correctly—five rockets right off the bat.

Stationed on defense at Liberation Peak, I seized the opportunity to unleash a barrage of MBT-LAW missiles upon the advancing enemy tanks, transforming them into mere scrap metal. The experience was nothing short of exhilarating.

DBONKA, a fellow player, elaborated on the recent adjustments to this field spec: “Previously, this perk provided +2 max rockets, but it was balanced by the necessity of locating a supply bag for resupply. Now, you spawn with them immediately.”

While the notion of seeking out a supply bag may seem straightforward, the reality is often more complex. Success hinges on two critical factors: the presence of medics on your team and their willingness to remember that the resupply bag is an integral part of their kit.

Much of my time in matches is consumed by the pursuit of a resupply bag, anxiously hovering over it to refill my rockets, all while hoping that the player who placed it doesn’t relocate it elsewhere on the map. More often than not, it feels quicker and more efficient to respawn rather than hunt for a resupply.

Some may argue that this change could complicate life for tanks and other vehicles in Battlefield 6, and I can only respond with a nod of agreement. Vehicles have long been a source of frustration in attack and defense modes like Rush and Breakthrough. Thus, I welcome any stroke of fortune that comes my way, and this spec change is certainly a welcome addition. In a perfect world, I would wield an endless supply of missiles, but perhaps that would be a bit excessive.
