Publisher NetEase Games, in collaboration with developer 24 Entertainment Lin’an, has unveiled an exciting new title: Blood Message, a AAA single-player action-adventure game designed for consoles and PC. This announcement marks a significant milestone for NetEase Games as they venture into the realm of fully single-player experiences.
According to Zhipeng Hu, the lead producer and executive vice president at NetEase Games, “We are ushering players into a new generation of high adventure with Blood Message. As our first completely single-player focused experience from NetEase Games, after two decades of deep dedication to the gaming industry, we are prepared to deliver a truly epic and cinematic experience for players around the world.”

Game Overview
Blood Message is a cinematic, linear story-driven action-adventure currently under development, powered by the Unreal 5 Engine and enhanced with proprietary technologies from the studio. This title represents NetEase Games’ inaugural AAA single-player project, merging intense survival combat with rich Eastern narratives.
Set against the backdrop of the final years of the Tang Dynasty, players will embark on a gripping journey alongside a nameless messenger and his young son, who find themselves entangled in a righteous uprising. As they navigate the treacherous landscapes of East and Central Asia, they must deliver a crucial message that could alter the fate of their war-torn homeland. The game promises to explore profound themes of loyalty, family, and the indelible marks ordinary individuals can leave on history.
Players will traverse approximately 3,000 li (around 1,000 miles) back to Chang’an, the heart of the Tang Empire, facing perilous environments including desolate deserts and brutal sieges. The game’s historical setting not only enriches the narrative but also immerses players in the customs and culture of the era.
As the development team poignantly reflects, “How can countless ordinary people—smaller than dust—leave a mark on history?
