Peregrino, A Brutal Isometric Survival Game, Announced for PC

Spanish developer Inverge Studios has unveiled its latest project, Peregrino, an immersive isometric survival game set against a backdrop of 19th-century gothic aesthetics. Players will embark on a treacherous journey, guiding a group of pilgrims through a perilous dark purgatory in pursuit of New Eden, a mythical paradise said to await the brave.

Gameplay Mechanics and Challenges

In Peregrino, survival hinges on a combination of hunting, combat, and scavenging. These elements are not merely optional; they are essential for navigating the unforgiving landscape. Players must adeptly manage resources, including food, shelter, and faith, to enhance their chances of success. The stakes are high, as the loss of any pilgrim to the grotesque monstrosities that emerge each night is permanent. Each character is imbued with a unique name, purpose, and backstory, making every decision critical to their survival.

Vigilance is paramount as players oversee their caravan. This requires constant upgrades to wagons, fortification of shelters, and strategic choices regarding which paths to take, each fraught with its own set of risks. The game promises to challenge players not only in their tactical skills but also in their emotional investment in each pilgrim’s fate.

For those intrigued by this dark and engaging narrative, Peregrino is currently in development for PC and will be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Interested players can add it to their wishlist to stay updated on its progress.
