Razer made a Steam Link alternative, and it plays way more than Steam games

Razer PC Remote Play Officially Launches on Android and iOS

Razer, the popular gaming accessory brand, has officially launched its Razer PC Remote Play app on Android and iOS. Similar to Steam Link, this app provides native-resolution streaming and excellent performance for gamers looking to stream their PC games on their mobile devices.

The app, based on the open-source streaming app Moonlight, offers several added features such as creating a virtual window that matches the native resolution and refresh rate of the client device for pixel-perfect streaming. Unlike Steam Link, Razer PC Remote Play is not tied to a specific platform, allowing users to stream games from various game stores like the Epic Game Store and PC Game Pass.

During the beta testing phase, the app received positive feedback for its performance, although the setup process may be slightly more complex as it requires the installation of both the Razer PC Remote Play app and the Razer Nexus app on the host PC. Additionally, users need to create an account to access the full features of the app.

With the official launch, Razer PC Remote Play now supports all mobile controllers on Android and iOS, as well as the AV1 codec for improved streaming quality and lower latency. Users with the premium Razer Kishi Ultra controller can also benefit from Razer Sensa HD Haptics, providing haptic feedback based on audio cues for a more immersive gaming experience.

For iPad users, the app supports mouse and keyboard inputs for compatible games, enhancing the gameplay experience on larger screens. To get started with Razer PC Remote Play, users need to download the Razer Cortex app on their host PC and the Razer Nexus and Razer PC Remote Play apps on their client device, all of which are available for free on the Play Store and App Store.
