TOKYO – May 12, 2026 – Today marks the launch of OCTOPinbs, a unique firefighting social deception game co-developed by tri-Ace and Lasengle, Inc., and published by Aniplex. Available on PC via Steam, the game is currently offered at a limited-time 20% discount for the first two weeks following its release.
Gameplay Dynamics
In OCTOPinbs, players are invited to join a team of three to ten courageous octopus firefighters. Their primary mission? To extinguish flames and uncover the elusive Squid Artists responsible for igniting them. As the firefighters battle the blaze, they must remain vigilant for signs of sabotage, utilizing the trusty Octojar to capture and reveal the true identities of the hidden culprits.
The game immerses players in a dynamic environment where they must extinguish every ember to lower the fire gauge while simultaneously monitoring for suspicious activities. The Squid Artists, on the other hand, aim to escalate the situation by cleverly disguising themselves and wreaking havoc, all while trying to distract the firefighters until the last moment to secure their victory.
Customization and DLC
Players can enhance their experience with various costume packs, including the Ninja Mask and Outfit, as well as Eastern-inspired firefighter outfits available in Costume Pack 1. Additionally, the Artist’s Monochrome prison outfit serves as a playful taunt to the opposing team. Both packs are accessible through downloadable content (DLC).
Community Engagement and Promotions
In an effort to engage the community, Aniplex is hosting several exciting promotions. Players can enter for a chance to win a gaming laptop through the OCTOPinbs X account (US only) and join the OCTOPinbs Discord to participate in a contest for a Steam gift card (available to users in the USA and Japan). Entries for these promotions will be accepted until May 18 at 7:59 AM PDT.
Game Availability
OCTOPinbs is now available on PC via Steam for .99 USD, featuring language support in multiple languages including Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese, German, Korean, Spanish, and French.
