The vibrant hues of autumn may be gracing the trees, but the digital landscape of gaming is experiencing a transformation of its own. Valve has officially launched the Steam Autumn Sale 2026, ushering in a wave of enticing discounts on a plethora of PC games, downloadable content (DLC), and various other offerings across its expansive storefront.
Seasonal Opportunities for Gamers
As we approach the final chapter of 2026, this seasonal sale presents an ideal moment for PC gamers to revisit their wishlists and seize the chance to acquire titles that have long captured their interest. With Steam’s most significant store-wide discounts occurring only a few times each year, the Autumn Sale serves as a timely opportunity to indulge in those gaming desires.
While the event lacks a specific theme, it’s no surprise that horror games tend to take center stage during this season. Continuing its tradition of engaging promotions, Valve has released a whimsical trailer featuring Kaci Aitchison, showcasing highlights from the games currently on sale.
The front page of the Steam storefront is once again adorned with recommended games, with featured titles rotating daily. However, Valve has opted not to reintroduce the old flash deals, meaning that discounts will remain consistent throughout the duration of the event, rather than fluctuating every few hours.
Gamers will find a rich selection of titles available, including major releases such as:
- Resident Evil Requiem
- Death Stranding 2
- Gothic Remake
- Forza Horizon 6
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
- 007 First Light
- Big Walk
- Halo Campaign Evolved
The specifics of the discounts vary by title, making it worthwhile for shoppers to explore individual listings for the best deals.
Deep Discounts Await
The return of the Deep Discounts section further enhances the shopping experience, allowing gamers to easily locate some of the most significant price reductions available. Selected games are discounted by an impressive 85% to 95%, featuring popular titles such as:
- Far Cry 6
- Jagged Alliance 3
- Monster Hunter Rise
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus
While the selection may be somewhat smaller compared to previous Autumn Sales, there remains a wealth of older games available at substantial discounts.
Notably, the Steam Awards will not be part of this Autumn Sale, following last year’s decision to separate the awards from the seasonal event. Anticipation builds for their return in November.
The Steam Autumn Sale 2026 will continue until October 8 at 10 AM PT, providing a full week for gamers to explore the myriad discounts available. For those keen on maximizing their gaming budget, a dedicated deals hub is available to guide shoppers toward the latest offers.
