MANGMI Teases Air Y Series Vertical Handhelds
MANGMI, a new player in the Android handheld market, has announced the upcoming release of the Air Y and Air Y Pro vertical handhelds. These devices are designed in a Game Boy-style format and run on the Android operating system.
The teaser image released by MANGMI showcases the design of the handhelds, featuring a 4:3 screen, side buttons, a scroll wheel for volume control, and MANGMI branding above the select and start buttons. The Air Y model is equipped with a single analog stick and a front-facing speaker, while the Pro model boasts dual analog sticks.
Notably, the image also reveals Qualcomm branding, indicating that the handhelds will be powered by a Snapdragon or Dragonwing chipset. Qualcomm chips are known for their performance and developer support, although MediaTek chips also offer strong performance capabilities.
As details about the Air Y series are limited at this point, consumers are eagerly awaiting information on specifications, pricing, and availability. With the market for vertical Android handhelds growing rapidly, MANGMI will face stiff competition from other brands like Retroid, ANBERNIC, and AYANEO.
