Arcade racing game Victory Heat Rally is set to launch for PC via Steam, and iOS and Android via Crunchyroll Game Vault on October 3, with a Switch release to follow at a later date, as announced by publisher Playtonic Friends and developer Skydevilpalm.
“Our hope was always to launch simultaneously on all platforms,” Playtonic Friends mentioned in a press release. “Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen difficulties with development, we decided to proceed with the PC and mobile launch first, with the Nintendo Switch release coming shortly after. Stay tuned for more news on the Switch launch!”
Although the Kickstarter campaign for Victory Heat Rally initially aimed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, Playtonic Friends confirmed that there are currently no plans for releases on those platforms. The publisher only has agreements for Switch, PC, and mobile releases with the developer and is not associated with the Kickstarter campaign.
Victory Heat Rally promises a nostalgic arcade racing experience reminiscent of classics like Power Drift, Out Run, and Ridge Racer. Players can expect high-speed action, intense drifting, and a variety of game modes to challenge themselves and friends. With pixel-perfect visuals, a rocking soundtrack, and customizable vehicles, Victory Heat Rally aims to deliver a turbocharged racing experience like no other.
