The Dapperwing can be found near the base camp in the Scarlet Forest. By venturing straight out into areas 1 and 2, players will encounter these striking green birds resting on various branches. The challenge lies in locating one that is low enough for your capture net to reach. A helpful tip is to look for a low branch, as shown in the accompanying screenshot, where several Dapperwings may be perched.

Additionally, players can spot more Dapperwings resting on the columns at the base of the waterfall in area 15, as well as above the waterfall in area 17. Once you have your sights set on one, simply hold the left bumper on your controller and select the capture net from the essential items hotwheel using the right stick. Aim with the LT button, and when the border of the capture box glows orange, press RT to secure your catch.

Fortunately, Dapperwings are quite calm and won’t easily take flight, making them relatively easy to catch. After successfully capturing one, players should return to Samin to deliver their specimen. As a token of appreciation, you will receive 10 Blue Mushrooms, five honey, and 50 Guild Points for your efforts.
