Starting today, Xbox Insiders are being welcomed to explore exciting updates within Xbox Game Pass, designed to enhance the streaming and gaming experience across a broader range of devices.
Expanded Access for Xbox Insiders
For those unfamiliar, Xbox Insiders are players who opt into beta testing upcoming features, understanding that these may come with some imperfections. Now, subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Core or Standard can access the Xbox Cloud Gaming Beta, marking a significant shift in accessibility.
This development allows subscribers of Microsoft’s more budget-friendly tiers to enjoy PC versions of select titles, offering them the flexibility to choose between playing on a PC or a Windows handheld device. Additionally, users can stream cloud playable games included in their subscription, as well as select titles they own, facilitating seamless gameplay from any supported device.
Microsoft expressed enthusiasm about this new feature, stating, “Xbox Insiders subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Core or Standard now have even more freedom to play wherever they are with Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta).” The company emphasizes its commitment to tailoring the Xbox experience to individual preferences, ensuring that players can enjoy their favorite games anytime and anywhere.
Xbox Game Pass serves as an online gaming service for both Xbox and PC platforms, allowing subscribers to stream directly on various smart devices and consoles. Depending on their subscription tier, members can play new games on their release day and access a vast catalog of high-quality titles, all while connecting with friends across console, PC, or cloud.
Earlier this year, in May, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members received an additional benefit: the ability to stream certain games directly to their consoles without the need for downloads, further enhancing the gaming experience.
