During an official Xbox podcast, Fatima Kardar, the corporate vice president of gaming AI, along with Jason Ronald, vice president of gaming devices and ecosystem, elaborated on the features and purpose of this new AI assistant. Designed to be accessible through the Xbox mobile app, Copilot for Gaming is expected to roll out soon, with Xbox insiders receiving the first opportunity to test its capabilities.
In a demonstration, the AI showcased its ability to respond to player inquiries, including a rather humorous example where a Minecraft player asked, “Okay, I’ve got some wood. What can I do with that?” Instead of a lighthearted chuckle, the AI provided practical guidance, instructing the player to access their inventory and utilize the wood for crafting purposes.
