MILLVILLE, NJ — In a significant development, a 49-year-old resident of Millville, John Dunigan, has been taken into custody following allegations of distributing child pornography via the messaging app Kik. The arrest, which took place on Friday, stems from a tip received by the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Investigation Unfolds
Authorities initiated an investigation after receiving crucial information regarding Dunigan’s activities. By meticulously analyzing data, investigators were able to connect various IP addresses and email addresses linked to the suspect, leading to his identification.
On the day of the arrest, law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at Dunigan’s residence on Cedar Street. The outcome of this search resulted in charges being filed against him for first-degree distribution and second-degree possession of child sexual abuse material.
