Abode Expands Smart Home Security with New TV Apps
Abode, recognized as a leading contender in the DIY smart home security sector by The Ambient, is enhancing its ecosystem with the introduction of an Apple TV app and an updated version of its Android TV app. This development allows Abode users to manage their home security systems and smart devices directly from their television screens, complementing an already extensive array of control options available on mobile devices, smartwatches, tablets, and desktops.
The newly launched Apple TV app offers a seamless interface that brings security management into the living room. Users can easily arm and disarm their systems, check the status of their devices, and view live feeds from up to four cameras simultaneously, including the Abode Video Doorbell. Additionally, the app provides access to recorded video clips and allows for quick actions through Abode CUE, enabling users to scroll through past footage with the 24/7 video recording add-on.
Signing into the Apple TV app is designed to be user-friendly, with options for both Apple device authentication and manual login, ensuring a smooth experience for all users.
In tandem with the Apple TV launch, Abode has also rolled out an upgraded version of its Android TV app. This revamped application allows Android TV users to stream live feeds from up to four cameras, review recorded clips, and manage select devices. While the menu layout and navigation may differ slightly from the Apple TV version, the essential functionalities remain consistent across both platforms.
Both the Abode Apple TV and Android TV apps are now available for download from their respective app stores, further solidifying Abode’s commitment to providing versatile and accessible home security solutions.
