Fitbit for Android has recently undergone a significant transformation, particularly in its design for larger screens. The latest update introduces a layout optimized for tablets and foldable devices, moving beyond the previous iteration that merely stretched the phone app to fit larger displays.
In this new design, users will find four customizable stat rings arranged side-by-side, replacing the former configuration of one large circle accompanied by three smaller ones beneath. This fresh layout is adaptable to both landscape and portrait orientations, enhancing the overall user experience.
Moreover, the app has transitioned from a single stat card that spanned the entire width of the screen to a more efficient dual-column layout. This adjustment allows for a better use of space, particularly in landscape mode, making it easier for users to navigate through their data.
Additional layout enhancements include improved navigation controls for viewing previous and next days, which are particularly beneficial for users of foldable devices. These thoughtful upgrades reflect Fitbit’s commitment to optimizing its app for the evolving landscape of Android devices.
These changes are part of version 4.30 of Fitbit for Android, which may have been rolled out earlier than the official announcement. However, it is worth noting that the app still lacks a dark theme, a feature many users are eagerly anticipating.
