Google Agentspace makes way for Gemini Enterprise, a new AI workplace platform

What you need to know

Gemini Enterprise is set to revolutionize the workplace by serving as a comprehensive hub for AI assistance. This innovative platform builds upon the foundation of Google Agentspace, enhancing it with support for the latest Gemini models, improved integrations, and robust security measures.

  • The platform will be offered in three distinct tiers, catering to both small businesses and larger corporations.
  • Gemini Enterprise combines user-friendly features with advanced AI capabilities, making it accessible for employees across various skill levels.

Google Cloud has unveiled Gemini Enterprise as its flagship software solution for businesses, designed to streamline workflows through a blend of Gemini models, an intuitive interface, and both custom and pre-built AI agents. This new offering is a natural evolution from Google Agentspace, which continues to play a role within the broader Gemini Enterprise framework.

At the heart of Gemini Enterprise are six essential components: an agent creation and orchestration mechanism, new Gemini models, starter AI agents, seamless integration with company data sources, centralized security, and a network of partners. Together, these elements create a simplified, code-free experience that empowers employees in any role—from IT specialists to retail staff—to leverage AI effectively.

Among the standout features is the latest Gemini Code Assist agent, which works in tandem with two existing core agents. Looking ahead, Google Cloud is preparing to introduce a Data Science Agent and a Customer Engagement Suite Agent, further enriching the suite of pre-built AI agents available to users.

Gemini Enterprise is designed for flexibility, allowing companies to tailor the platform to their specific needs, much like its predecessor, Agentspace. It also supports integrations with leading workspace ecosystems such as Microsoft 365 and Salesforce, enabling Gemini models and custom AI agents to access the contextual data necessary for accurate assistance and task automation.

For larger corporations, the Standard and Plus plans of Gemini Enterprise address stringent security and privacy requirements, featuring customizable permissions to ensure data integrity. In anticipation of its launch, Google Cloud has formed partnerships with prominent brands including Figma, GAP, Gordon Foods, Klarna, Macquarie Bank, Melexis, Signal Iduna, Valiuz, and Virgin Voyages, all of which are poised to implement Gemini Enterprise within their operations.
