Google integrated Lens into everything, and YouTube is no exception

YouTube has recently integrated Google Lens into its Android app, allowing users to search through its video library using image search capabilities. The new feature is slowly rolling out, so keep an eye out for the Google Lens icon next to the microphone icon on the full-screen search page.

The Google Lens interface within YouTube works the same way as the original version, using algorithms to extract information from images and texts. For instance, users can take a picture of an object, like a keyboard, and search for related videos on the YouTube app or on Google.

This integration doesn’t change the core functions of Google Lens but simply provides direct access to it within the YouTube application. Google’s aim is to offer users more diverse search options beyond traditional text-based methods, such as voice search. The collaboration between YouTube and Google Lens is part of this effort to enhance the search experience for users.
