The “Continue Activity” feature, nestled within the “Cross-Device Services” settings on Android, is set to make its official debut around mid-September 2026. This eagerly anticipated update introduces a range of functionalities designed to enhance user experience across multiple devices.
Among the highlights is the “Task Handoff” feature, which was subtly integrated into the next-generation Android OS, “Android 17.” This innovative capability allows users to effortlessly transition tasks—such as drafting emails or navigating web pages—between devices. Additionally, users will have the option to toggle the ability to access apps, media, and notifications from one Android device on another, or even from a Chromebook or Googlebook.
Currently, the rollout is focused on the “Pixel 11” series, which includes the “Pixel 11 Pro XL” and “Pixel 11 Pro Fold.” As the rollout progresses, it is expected that other Android devices running “Android 17” will soon join the ranks, expanding the reach of these new features.
