Someone seems to have got their hands on the updated One UI 7 rollout schedule

What you need to know

In an intriguing turn of events, an updated rollout schedule for One UI 7, featuring Android 15, has surfaced on Reddit, allegedly originating from the Samsung Members app. This revelation has sparked interest among Samsung enthusiasts eager for the latest updates.

  • The Samsung Galaxy S24 series, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, is slated to receive the One UI 7 update starting April 25. Following this initial rollout, the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and other eligible devices are expected to join the upgrade parade around May 25.
  • This rollout appears to be strategically phased, with a one-month interval between each group of devices, culminating in July.
  • However, the specifics of whether this rollout is global or region-specific remain uncertain.

The journey to One UI 7 has been anything but smooth. A Reddit user recently shared a screenshot of what they claim is the updated schedule, which they received through the Samsung Members app. The notification expressed gratitude for users’ interest in Samsung’s products and services, while also announcing the forthcoming One UI 7 upgrade.

As the rollout unfolds, the Galaxy S24 series will be the first to see the update, with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 following closely behind. The subsequent phase will bring the update to the Galaxy S23 series and its foldable counterparts by late May, with the Galaxy Tab A9 expected to receive its update in July.

Initially, One UI 7 was anticipated to launch widely, beginning in Korea on April 7 and extending to the U.S. and other regions by April 10. However, just three days into the rollout, Samsung had to halt the process due to a bug affecting several devices. This led to the firmware being removed from OTA servers, alongside the retraction of blog posts announcing the rollout in Vietnam.

In a statement to Android Central, Samsung acknowledged the situation, noting that the “rollout schedule (for One UI 7) is being updated to ensure the best possible experience.” Yet, the company did not provide specific reasons for pausing the firmware’s distribution.
