Microsoft brings a long awaited “game changer” Windows 11 tool for IT admins

Microsoft announced enhancements for Windows 11 aimed at optimizing performance and resource utilization, potentially reconsidering the minimum system requirements. A new tool for IT administrators was introduced in the July Intune update (Service Release 2607), which includes native support for Registry Inventory. This feature allows administrators to assess system configurations more accurately, aiding in troubleshooting, compliance, and security. The Registry Inventory feature operates through Intune's Properties catalog, enabling administrators to monitor specific registry keys. Detailed reports are generated for each configured entry, providing information on registry key paths, value names, types, and data. The data collected is accessible from the Device inventory page, and the initial release supports common collection patterns for HKEYLOCALMACHINE (HKLM) registry paths. Registry Inventory is included with Microsoft Intune Plan 1. Other enhancements in the Intune update include management capabilities for Samsung firmware updates.

These Android Phones Are Losing YouTube App Access In 2026

By 2026, certain smartphones will no longer receive support for popular applications like YouTube. Users can still access YouTube via the web version if their app is no longer supported. Google will not disable these devices remotely. Users are advised to check for software updates by navigating to Settings, selecting System, and tapping on Software Updates. Devices running Android 7.0 or later may have better app functionality, while those on Android 6.0 should consider upgrading. Current Android smartphones from Google and Samsung will receive up to seven years of software updates.

Here’s the PlayStation 5 Emulator KyTyPS5 Running Some PS5 Games on PC

SharpEmu is a new PlayStation 5 emulator for PC, while KyTyPS5 has been in development longer and can run select PS5 titles. A recent demonstration showed KyTyPS5 successfully emulating games like Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, Terminator 2D: No Fate, and Marvel Cosmic Invasion, which were fully playable without significant visual glitches. However, more complex games like Gran Turismo or Demon’s Souls Remake are not yet supported. SharpEmu is believed to have the potential to run more demanding titles but currently faces crashes before gameplay can start. Both emulators are available for download.

Google Health could finally fix its most annoying feature: AI Coach

Many users of Google Health have expressed frustration with the app's AI Coach feature, which has been providing lengthy, unsolicited commentary that clutters dashboards. In response, Google is working on introducing dedicated coaching preferences in version 5.04.1 of the app, allowing users to disable AI Coach insights for a more streamlined view of fitness data. The new "Coaching" preferences will offer options for receiving full messages from the AI Coach or opting for basic updates without commentary. Microsoft Ended Windows 10 Support, but You Don’t Necessarily Need a New PC

On October 14, 2025, Microsoft ceased support for Windows 10, which means it will no longer receive technical assistance, feature updates, or security patches. Microsoft has introduced the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, which has been extended to October 2027, allowing users to continue receiving essential security updates if their device meets specific criteria. Eligibility for ESU includes running Windows 10, version 22H2 Home, Professional, Pro Education, or Workstations edition, having the latest Windows update installed, being signed in with an administrator Microsoft account, and enabling Windows Backup. ESU is free for users utilizing Windows Backup; otherwise, a one-time fee or redeeming 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points is required. For devices not qualifying for ESU, alternatives include installing third-party antivirus software, upgrading to Windows 11, or switching to Linux. To enroll in ESU, users can navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, where an Enroll Now link will appear if eligible.

Gemini’s notebook tools are catching up with the app that inspired them

Google is enhancing its Gemini app by allowing users to add website links as sources in their notebooks, which will enable the collection of text from web pages, limited to visible content only. Additionally, a dedicated Students section is being developed within the app to help create tailored study notebooks based on individual learning needs.
