Valve Just Made Some Big Changes to Steam Tags, And The New Additions Shed Light on Recent Trends

Valve updated Steam's tagging system on May 18th, removing 28 outdated tags, introducing 17 new ones, and adjusting existing categories. The new tags include Bullet Heaven, Desktop Companion, Organizing, Cleaning, Decorating, Wuxia, Xianxia, Falling Blocks, Espionage, Samurai, Zoo, Wolves, Capybaras, Animals, Cult, Poker, and Language Learning. The retired tags include 3D Vision, Ambient, America, Blood, Crowdfunded, Cult Classic, Documentary, Drama, Dungeons & Dragons, Electronic, Experience, Feature Film, Foreign, GameMaker, Games Workshop, Illuminati, Kickstarter, LEGO, Masterpiece, Mature, Movie, Narration, NSFW, Roguevania, RPGMaker, Warhammer 40K, Web Publishing, and Well-Written. Existing tags like Clicker and Conversation were rebranded to Incremental and Dialogue Heavy, respectively. The updates aim to improve user navigation and reflect current gaming trends.

PUBG is removing several weapons from the game, and you could be due compensation

Players who owned QBU skins between 2020 and 2026 may be eligible for compensation as PUBG is set to remove several weapons, including the QBU and Mosin Nagant, from the game. The compensation will include in-game currencies such as BP, Credits, and G-Coins based on the skins possessed. For instance, the Seabeast Mosin Nagant skin will yield 200 G-Coins, while the Firestarter QBU skin will reward 1,490 G-Coins. Game Pass Additions For May Include Subnautica 2 And Forza Horizon 6

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is finally out this summer and “it is not an RPG”

A Minecraft Movie 2 Finally Has Its Official Title Revealed

Warner Bros. announced a sequel to A Minecraft Movie, titled A Minecraft Sequel, set to be released on July 23, 2027. Jared Hess will direct, and Chris Galletta will co-write the screenplay. The returning cast includes Jack Black as Steve, Jason Momoa as Garrett Garrison, Danielle Brooks as Dawn, and Jennifer Coolidge as Vice Principal Marlene. Kirsten Dunst joins the cast as Alex. The plot details are not yet revealed, but it is expected to continue adventures in the Overworld. The first film grossed approximately million worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing films of 2025 and a top video game adaptation.

Tomorrow Is Xbox Game Pass’ Biggest Day of 2026 So Far

Xbox Game Pass will introduce three new titles: Replaced, Hades II, and The Thaumaturge. Replaced is a day-one Xbox console exclusive developed by Sad Cat Studios, while Hades II, from Supergiant Games, will be available for the first time on Xbox Game Pass on April 14, 2025. The Thaumaturge, an RPG from Fool’s Theory and 11 Bit Studios, debuted in 2024 and will also join the service. Only two of these titles will be classified as Xbox Game Pass Premium additions, and subscribers to the Xbox Game Pass Essential tier will not receive new content. Replaced will not be available to Xbox Game Pass Premium subscribers, and a 20% discount will be offered on each title while available.

Android XR brings app pinning, resume, & auto-spatialization to Galaxy XR

Google is updating Android XR for Galaxy XR users, introducing features such as the ability to pin apps to virtual walls, which allows for practical applications like keeping a calendar app next to an office desk. The headset will also automatically restore the previous session with all apps and layouts. Death Stranding 2 is the first Decima game with Ray Tracing on PC
