Clay is a crucial resource in Windrose for crafting clay bottles for potions. It can be found in large deposits of muddy rock scattered across the terrain, which are exposed and easy to identify. Clearing a single deposit yields about 50-60 chunks of clay. A pickaxe is necessary for harvesting clay, with recipes for a Stone Pickaxe requiring 3 Stone and 3 Wood, and a Copper Pickaxe requiring 1 Bronze Ingot and 5 Wood. Upgrading tools does not affect yield but can speed up the harvesting process. Clay deposits respawn every few in-game days, and crafting a clay bottle requires one chunk of clay, but the bottles are not reusable. Resources can deplete quickly, especially when dealing with wild boars.

Crafting is essential in Arc Raiders, where players gather resources to create weapons, gear, and consumables. Embark Studios is working to improve the crafting experience by addressing the time-consuming nature of resource gathering. They have introduced a new 'Acquire Resources' button in the crafting screen, which provides a list of available sources for required materials, including recyclable items from the player's inventory and options from traders. This feature aims to reduce interruptions and streamline the crafting process, although it does not guarantee immediate access to all materials. The studio acknowledges that further improvements are needed and is committed to addressing additional player concerns in future updates. They also encourage ongoing community feedback to shape their development priorities.

Ubisoft's Far Cry Primal is set in the Mesolithic period, allowing players to navigate the Carpathian mountains and face prehistoric creatures. The game faced criticism for reusing elements from Far Cry 4, leading to frustration from Alex Hutchinson, the director of Far Cry 4, who suggested that Ubisoft should have acknowledged the connection. Similarly, Activision's Call of Duty: Ghosts was criticized for reusing animations from Modern Warfare 2, raising concerns about creativity in game development. Hutchinson noted that asset reuse is common in large studios, citing examples from the Assassin's Creed series. He observed a shift in perspectives regarding asset reuse, with some now advocating for its creative merits, particularly in successful Japanese titles like Dark Souls and Yakuza. Hutchinson also speculated on the potential role of AI in game development but expressed skepticism about its ability to significantly change the industry.

Windows 11's market presence in Germany is stagnant, with 48% of private households (approximately 21 million devices) still using Windows 10, which will lose official support on October 14, 2025. Users can opt for Extended Security Updates until October 13, 2026. As of August 2025, Windows 10 had around 24 million installations, while Windows 11 was on about 17 million devices, indicating only 3.6 to 3.7 million transitions to Windows 11. By December 2025, Windows 11 accounted for 66.60% of the gaming market on Steam, with approximately 71% of Windows machines used for gaming running Windows 11. Windows 10 users can extend their support, but as the October 2026 deadline approaches, they will no longer receive security updates. Microsoft may implement notifications to encourage users to upgrade to Windows 11 and consider recycling old PCs for new ones.

Microsoft has acknowledged a bug affecting some Windows 10 users, incorrectly notifying them that their systems are “out of support.” Users can extend their Windows 10 support at no cost until October 13, 2026. The misleading message appears even when the user’s PC remains fully supported. This issue potentially impacts users on Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, Education editions with ESU enabled, as well as Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 and IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021. Users will continue to receive updates if they are on Windows 10 LTSC or linked to ESU. Microsoft is rolling out a server-side fix for the false alert, which is expected to disappear within 24 to 48 hours. Users can verify their installed version or edition by navigating to Settings > System > About. Microsoft has provided a rollback option for IT administrators to address this issue.
