Play Chaos Cubed with Minecraft Realms

The AdventureCraft add-on for Minecraft introduces features such as spell casting, magical weapons, dungeons, and dragon riding. Players can earn a free trial for Minecraft Realms by watching live streams on Twitch or TikTok. The trial is available from June 18th to July 18th and is specifically for Realms Plus on Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. A valid Microsoft account and internet access are required, and players must complete a viewing challenge to receive a redemption code. Each Microsoft account is limited to one trial code, which applies to both Bedrock and Java accounts. Subscription terms apply, and the trial will automatically continue at the regular price unless canceled. Existing users of Realms Plus Server 3 will receive an additional month, while new users will receive a separate trial month. Geographic limitations and other restrictions may apply.

Microsoft says it’ll force install Microsoft 365 Copilot on Windows 11 with MS 365 Business in the next 30 days

Microsoft is reintroducing the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, which will automatically install on eligible Windows PCs with Microsoft 365 desktop applications between mid-June and mid-July. Users in the European Economic Area will not be affected by this automatic installation. Admins can opt out of the automatic integration. The app will be activated by default, requiring no user intervention. Microsoft is not using the Windows Store for this installation; instead, it relies on the built-in Microsoft 365 Apps updater. Users can disable Copilot features on a case-by-case basis in specific Office apps or change privacy settings to block Copilot functionalities. Microsoft has also made Classic plans available in select regions for users who want a version without Copilot. Administrators can use Office policy settings to block connected experiences that drive Copilot functionalities but must opt out through the Microsoft 365 Apps admin center to prevent installation.

Free Software Foundation Europe pushes EU to force Google to allow AI uninstalls on Android

Google sets timeline for Android developer verification enforcement

Android's developer verification initiative will officially roll out on September 30, 2026, initially targeting users in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. Developers in these regions must complete the verification process by the deadline. Participating app stores, including Google Play and others, will begin verifying app installations, with a global implementation planned for 2027. The initiative aims to enhance security by linking apps to verified identities. Google is introducing new APIs to facilitate app registration, including the Android Developer ID Status API and the Android Developer Console API, which will support OAuth delegation for third-party platforms. A new system service will be installed on most Android devices to verify developer registrations later this year. The Android Developer ID Status API is set for global launch in July 2026, with early access to the Android Developer Console API. Limited distribution accounts for students and hobbyists will launch globally in August 2026. Starting September 30, 2026, only apps registered by verified developers will be allowed for installation and updates on certified Android devices, although unregistered apps can still be sideloaded. Google has reported that over 99% of Play developers have completed the verification process, and developers can check their verification status in the Play Console.

Google sets launch date for review of Android apps distributed outside the Play Store
