Starting May 5, Lidl will replace its Coupon Plus feature with a new rewards system called Lidl Plus Points. Customers will have until May 4 to meet their April spending targets under the current program. While Coupon Plus will be discontinued, Personalised Coupons and Weekly Offers will remain unchanged. Under the previous Coupon Plus program, customers earned rewards through monthly spending milestones, while the new Lidl Plus Points system allows customers to collect points for every purchase (£1 = one point) and redeem them for rewards in the Rewards Marketplace. From May 5 to May 22, customers will earn double points on fresh fruit and 100 welcome points by opening the app until July 31. Louise Weise, chief customer officer at Lidl GB, mentioned that customer feedback inspired the transition to Lidl Plus Points, which aims to provide more flexibility in rewards. Reactions from customers have been mixed, with some expressing nostalgia for the old system. Further details can be found on Lidl's website.

NGL was acquired by Mode Mobile, a company that monetizes user engagement through advertisements. NGL gained popularity in late 2021 but faced controversy for fostering bullying and employing questionable growth hacking strategies, including sending automated misleading messages. The FTC banned NGL's availability to minors after a two-year investigation and fined the app million for deceptive practices. Following the acquisition, the remaining three employees of NGL will join Mode Mobile. Mode Mobile has developed the “EarnPhone,” which allows users to earn money through everyday activities but relies heavily on advertising revenue. The specific terms of the acquisition are undisclosed.

Microsoft overhauled the Xbox Game Pass structure on October 1, transitioning from four tiers to a new framework with the Core tier rebranded as Essential and Standard as Premium, while Ultimate retained its name. The Essential tier's monthly fee remains at .99, but Premium increased by 25% to .99, the PC-only plan rose by 38% to .49, and Ultimate saw a 50% increase to .99. Despite these price hikes, Microsoft introduced enhancements such as cloud gaming across all tiers, an expanded library for Essential (from 25 to over 50 games) and Premium (from around 50 to over 200 games), and Ultimate subscribers gaining access to over 400 games and day-one releases. The changes have led to a surge in cancellations among users, causing the membership site to crash.
