Resident Evil Requiem New Game Plus explained

The Xbox app is now available on Arm-based Windows PCs

Microsoft has launched its Xbox app for Windows 11 PCs with Arm chips, specifically those using the Snapdragon X processor. Over 85% of games on Microsoft’s Game Pass are now compatible with Arm architecture. The app allows for native game execution on devices, moving beyond previous limitations of cloud streaming. Microsoft has improved its emulator, Prism, to support AVX and AVX2 instructions. Additionally, a new feature called Game Save Sync integrates save data across PC and handheld devices. Microsoft plans to expand the Xbox app to select Hisense and V HomeOS-powered smart TVs in 2026. Xbox Game Pass offers various subscription tiers: Essential, Premium, and Ultimate, with the Ultimate Tier providing access to both Xbox and PC Game Pass games, including day-one releases for first-party titles.

Still Using Windows 10? These Free Updates Will Help Keep Your PC Secure

Microsoft has ceased support for Windows 10, affecting approximately 41% of PC users. To aid in the transition, Microsoft will provide an additional year of security updates through the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, extending support until October 13, 2026. Users can enroll in the ESU program, which involves an enrollment fee, although users in Europe can enroll at no cost. Two free options for users outside Europe include syncing settings with OneDrive or redeeming 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points. Enrollment requires users to operate the latest version of Windows 10 (version 22H2) and have administrative privileges. The ESU program is open for enrollment until October 13, 2026, and businesses can purchase up to three additional years of updates. Users can also back up their settings to secure free updates.

The Sims loses one of its most iconic games as EA confirms final update and imminent delisting

The Sims Mobile is set to receive its final update today and will be delisted from the Apple and Google Play stores on October 21. The game will remain playable until January 20, 2026, when the servers will shut down. The final update removes the option for in-game purchases and introduces unlimited energy for players. On January 6, players will gain access to all Build Mode and Create A Sim content. The game launched in 2018, generating over a million in revenue and achieving 41.5 million downloads shortly after. Despite receiving over 50 updates, player engagement and revenue have declined significantly.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Minecraft Pack DLC is Now Available

SEGA has released the Minecraft Pack for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, available for .99 or as part of the Season Pass in the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition players can purchase the Season Pass separately for .99. The Minecraft Pack includes playable characters Steve, Alex, and a creeper, a Minecart Vehicle, six unique decals, a Minecraft World Course, five original Minecraft music tracks, remixes of classic tracks, and six emotes. A Minecraft Festival in-game event will occur from October 9 to October 11. The Season Pass also features characters and content from SpongeBob SquarePants, PAC-MAN, Mega Man, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available on multiple platforms, with a digital version for Nintendo Switch 2 launching in holiday 2025 and a physical copy in early 2026.
