Age of Empire 4’s new DLC drops today, and the Jin Dynasty is a beautifully-realized civ

Age of Empires 4's latest expansion, Yue Fei's Legacy, introduces a new campaign featuring eight missions centered on the general Yue Fei and his ally Han Shizhong, tasked with protecting the Song Dynasty's last prince from Jin forces. The campaign begins with the Jiankang Incident of 1127 and includes various challenges such as evading Jin pursuers and reclaiming territory. The expansion also adds the Jin Dynasty as a new civilization, characterized by efficient horse-mounted villagers and the elite Iron Pagoda cavalry units. The Jin Dynasty features a unique defensive mechanism called the Meng'an Mouke Emplacement, which automatically deploys defensive cavalry units when enemies approach.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is now available in early access for PC Steam and Xbox PC Game Preview

Unfrozen Studio has released Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, available on Steam Early Access and Xbox on PC (Game Preview) for .99 with a 25% launch discount until May 13. The game features six playable factions, single-player skirmish modes, procedurally generated maps, the first act of a single-player campaign, online multiplayer options, and an initial beta of a Map Editor. It supports multiple languages, including German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. The game is also included in the PC Game Pass. Additional content will be added during early access, and a detailed development roadmap will be provided.

New Valorant update brings ranked to Skirmish, and introduces the Kuronami 2.0 collection for skin aficionados

Riot Games is launching Season 2026 Act 3 of Valorant, introducing a ranked queue for the Skirmish mode called Skirmish: Ascension. This mode features solo or duo matches with specific restrictions, allowing each agent to use only one ability. The agents and their abilities include Jett (Tailwind), Waylay (Refract), Chamber (Rendezvous), Cypher (Cyber Cage), Omen (Shrouded Step), Phoenix (Curve Ball), Yoru (Clone), Iso (Contingency), Sage (Barrier Orb), Raze (Blast Pack), Vyse (Arc Rose), KAY/O (Flash/Drive), Breach (Flashpoint), and Veto (Crosscut). Matches will consist of ten rounds with different weapon phases. Players need both a Riot and FTW account to participate, and rankings will be based on win-loss ratios and opponent skill levels. Titles will be awarded based on rank, with 'Skirmish Competitors' for Gold to Platinum, 'Skirmish Expert' for Diamond to Immortal, and 'Skirmish Radiant' for top players. Additionally, Kuronami 2.0 will launch with new skins for various weapons and a melee weapon that transforms between a kunai and katana, alongside a battlepass featuring the Keys to Elysium Vandal.
