A new mod for Stardew Valley, created by kittycatcasey (spacechase0), titled "The Third Dimension," presents a 3D version of the game. The mod showcases a 3D landscape where the modder interacts with characters and the environment, though many entities remain 2D, creating an unsettling atmosphere. The goal is to replace 2D sprites with 3D models to enhance immersion. The mod also explores virtual reality compatibility, which presents challenges. Currently, the mod is not available for public testing.

In version 26.3, two new features have been introduced: the Cushion and the Straw Bed. The Cushion allows players to sit around a campfire and is available in 16 colors, crafted from three wool slabs of the same color. It can be placed on any flat surface, aligns horizontally to the grid, and overlaps with most objects. The Straw Bed enables players to sleep without setting a spawn point, can be used only once, and is destroyed after a single night's sleep. It is crafted from three hay bales, yielding four beds, and a new statistic tracks how many times players have slept in a Straw Bed. Additionally, the Data Pack version is now 110.0, and the Resource Pack version is 91.0. New commands for post effects have been added, and various gameplay mechanics have been updated, including changes to bed rules and loot tables. New block textures and sound events for the Straw Bed and Cushion have also been introduced, along with numerous bug fixes.

Old and new games were tested on a phone using GameHub. Low-power 2D games work best, while some newer 3D games struggled to launch or had performance issues. Older games like Skyrim ran smoothly, while a newer game like Dead as Disco required additional components to run. Playing games on GameHub is unpredictable, with older and 2D games being more likely to work well.

A trailer has been released showcasing gameplay footage that closely resembles the original game's graphics. The project does not yet have a release date, and players will need a legally obtained ROM file to launch the game, as it will not include any original game assets. This initiative is part of a trend of unofficial PC ports based on decompilations of classic titles.

Mouse P.I. For Hire is a monochrome first-person shooter that features Jack Pepper, a mouse detective, who navigates a gritty world while solving a mystery involving missing damsels and shrew plots. The game draws inspiration from classic FPS titles like Doom and Half-Life, offering straightforward gameplay with a rich environment. Players return to a hub area to interact with locals and gather clues. The game includes various missions that involve navigation, clue discovery, and boss confrontations, set in diverse locations such as a harbor and haunted village. The visual style employs rubber hose animation, and the voice acting by Troy Baker adds depth to the character. The shooting mechanics are adequate, with some weapons feeling less impactful than others. The game is recommended for fans of vintage cartoons, classic shooters, and cheese puns.
