Romestead is a survival RPG townbuilder set in a fallen Rome, set to enter Steam Early Access on May 26. Developed by Beartwigs and published by Three Friends, it has over 250,000 wishlists and was the 10th most-played game during the February 2026 Steam Next Fest. The game allows cooperative play for up to eight players and focuses on reconstructing Ancient Rome. The development process included a six-month evaluation, with significant insights from the creator of Stardew Valley.

Minecraft rival Everwind sails into early access, and I can’t wait to soar among the clouds

GACHIAKUTA survival RPG game announced for consoles and PC

A trailer showcasing in-development graphics has been released, but no specific release date is available. Additionally, a second season of the Gachiakuta anime is in production following the first season's success. Revived survival RPG Hytale already has a release date after springing back to life, but the owner is reminding everyone the game ‘isn’t good yet’

Hytale has undergone a challenging seven-year development period and faced cancellation by Riot Games, but the original owner has reclaimed the project to pursue its original vision. Developer Hypixel has released new gameplay footage and announced an early access release date of January 13, 2026. However, they have cautioned players to manage their expectations, describing the footage as "raw and broken" and stating that the game is not yet in a good state.
