Release of qBittorrent 5.1.1
On June 23, 2025, the latest version of the torrent client, qBittorrent 5.1.1, was officially released. Developed using the Qt toolkit, qBittorrent serves as an open-source alternative to µTorrent, offering similar interface and functionality. The project’s source code, written in C++ and JavaScript, is available on GitHub under the GPLv2+ license.
qBittorrent builds are compatible with various operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and macOS. The journey of qBittorrent began with the release of version 4.0 in November 2017, followed by version 5.0 in September 2024.
