  • Performance enhancements have been made for navigating large volumes in Settings > System > Storage > Advanced Storage Settings > Disks & Volumes.
  • The Settings > System > Storage page has been updated to reduce the frequency of UAC prompts, now appearing only when accessing temporary files.

[Network]

  • An issue causing unrealistic data usage values in Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage has been resolved.

Reminders for Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel

  • Updates are based on Windows 11, version 25H2 via an enablement package (Build 26220.8165).
  • Many features are rolled out using Controlled Feature Rollout technology, beginning with a select group of Insiders and gradually expanding as feedback is monitored.
  • The desktop watermark at the lower right corner of the desktop is a standard feature for Windows Insider pre-release builds.
  • For those who wish to be among the first to receive features gradually rolled out to you, enable the toggle for the latest updates via Settings > Windows Update*. Over time, we will increase the rollout of features to all users with the toggle activated. If the toggle remains off, new features will be rolled out to your PC over time as they become ready.
  • Features and experiences included in these builds may not be released beyond Windows Insiders, as we explore various concepts and gather feedback. Features may evolve, be removed, or replaced without ever being released.
  • Some features currently in development may not be fully localized, with localization occurring over time as features are finalized. Please report any localization issues via the Feedback Hub.
  • For a comprehensive overview of which build is in which Insider channel, please consult Flight Hub.
