Microsoft has recently rolled out a series of Windows Insider Builds, introducing new Copilot+ experiences tailored for users with AMD and Intel-powered PCs. Among the noteworthy updates is the “describe image” action in Click to Do, which has been gradually released to Insiders. While users of Snapdragon X-powered devices enjoyed this feature in the previous build, those with AMD or Intel chips had to wait for build 26200.5710 to access it.
New Copilot+ PC experiences
The latest addition to Click to Do is the “describe image” action, designed to provide detailed descriptions of images, charts, and graphs. This feature aims to enhance accessibility and offers a quick overview of visual content. When utilized for the first time, the necessary models are set up locally on the device, ensuring that sensitive data remains secure.
In a further commitment to digital accessibility, Microsoft has enhanced the Narrator tool to generate rich, detailed descriptions of images, charts, and graphs on Copilot+ PCs. This improvement is particularly significant for blind and low-vision users, as many visuals on the web and in documents lack adequate alt text. The rollout of this feature for AMD and Intel-powered Copilot+ PCs follows its introduction for Snapdragon-powered devices.
To activate this feature, users can press the Narrator key + Ctrl + D, prompting Narrator to provide a contextual description of the image, including details about people, objects, colors, text, and numbers. For instance, an image depicting stock performance might be described as a graph showing the stock prices of Microsoft Corporation alongside the S&P 500 and NASDAQ Computer indexes, illustrating a steady increase over a specified period. The interface also includes options to regenerate descriptions, like or dislike them, and copy the text.

General
- In an effort to enhance Windows performance, logs will now be collected when a PC experiences slow or sluggish performance. Windows Insiders are encouraged to provide feedback regarding these issues, allowing the Feedback Hub to automatically collect relevant logs. These logs are stored locally and sent to Microsoft only when feedback is submitted.
Click to Do (Preview)
The following changes and improvements are rolling out for Click to Do on Copilot+ PCs:
- A trial change is being implemented that removes the search box from the top bar of Click to Do.
Lock screen
- The lock screen widget experience is being updated for Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel, introducing widget suggestions to facilitate easier discovery. Users can enable or disable this feature through the “Discover widgets” toggle in Settings.
Settings
- A new section in Settings allows users to view which third-party applications have recently utilized generative AI models provided by Windows. This feature offers visibility into the apps leveraging local AI models and enables users to control which applications are permitted to use them.

The staggered rollout of features has raised questions about the Copilot+ PC branding, particularly as devices powered by Snapdragon X processors often receive updates ahead of their AMD and Intel counterparts. While Qualcomm and Microsoft have not publicly confirmed any exclusivity agreements, the pattern suggests a preference for Snapdragon-powered devices in the deployment of new features, leaving Insiders with AMD or Intel-powered PCs waiting longer for access to the latest enhancements.
