Lenovo Fuses Intel Meteor Lake & Qualcomm Snapdragon Arm CPUs Together In Its Hybrid ThinkBook Laptop/Tablet

Lenovo has elevated the conversation around AI PCs with its latest innovation, the ThinkBook Plus Hybrid. This device seamlessly integrates Intel’s Meteor Lake and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon CPUs, allowing users to switch effortlessly between Windows and Android modes.

Lenovo’s Newest ThinkBook Plus Hybrid Offers Both “Tablet & Laptop” Capabilities, That Too In a Single Package Combining Intel Meteor Lake & Qualcomm Snapdragon CPUs

The ThinkBook series has consistently pushed the boundaries of technology, and the newest model promises to be a standout. By tapping into the growing interest in AI PCs, Lenovo introduces a hybrid solution that empowers users to enjoy the best of both operating systems. This unique approach sets the ThinkBook Plus apart from its competitors.

At the heart of this innovation lies a clever design that treats the screen and the baseboard as distinct components. The screen functions as an Android tablet, while the keyboard serves as the Windows interface, complete with enhanced storage and memory options. This duality allows users to operate both Android and Windows simultaneously, creating a versatile computing experience. The docking mechanism ingeniously transforms the tablet into a fully functional laptop.

Beyond its dual operating system capabilities, the ThinkBook Plus Hybrid boasts impressive specifications. It features Intel’s Core Ultra 7 155H CPU in the keyboard section, while the tablet houses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Memory and storage configurations are robust, with the keyboard offering 32 GB LPDDR5X memory and a 1 TB SSD, while the tablet includes 12 GB LPDDR5X memory and 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The display is another highlight, showcasing a 14-inch panel with a stunning 2.8K OLED resolution and a full 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. To support its powerful performance, the device is equipped with a substantial battery setup: the tablet features a 38 Whr battery, while the keyboard adds a 75 Whr battery, bringing the total to an impressive 113 Whr. Connectivity options are also plentiful, with two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5mm audio jack included.

However, the ThinkBook Plus Hybrid is not without its challenges. One notable drawback is the shared storage of just 10 GB, which may limit multitasking capabilities for some users. Additionally, the device’s price point, retailing at 15,999 yuan (approximately ,240) on JD.com, could pose a barrier to wider adoption. Currently available only in China, there are expectations for a global rollout following its showcase at CES 2024.
